About the Special Events Executive Chef position:
Prominent Event Company seeks a highly skilled Executive Chef capable of helping the company a market leader in guest satisfaction. The talented Executive Chef will be responsible for running the BOH operations for large events such as weddings, milestone events (anniversaries, birthdays, etc.) and banquets. Overall will follow a set menu as chosen by the customer, with the opportunity to create new menu items or specials based on customer requests.
Outline of responsibilities for the Special Events Executive Chef:
Overall responsibility for the coordination, production and quality control for special events
Work closely with the Event Planner and Banquet Captain to ensure a perfectly executed event
Accountable for inventory, ordering and receiving in the culinary department
Maintain strong cost controls for food, labor, and other expenses
Utilize set menu and develop new menu items
Supervise culinary team
Ensure high standards for food safety and sanitation are met at all times
Other responsibilities as needed
Requirements:

About 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a Special Events, Catering or similar environment
Natural leader
Strong analytical skills
Accustomed to very high volume events / high end catering
Able to handle stressful situations with ease
Degree preferred but not required
Excellent communicator - written and verbal
Comfortable with a mix of set menu items with some creative opportunities
