The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, performance, production support, and documentation of various departmental and enterprise-wide mainframe, mid-range, and client-server based applications.
The primary languages that are used in the environment are: J2ee The other languages that are used are a mix of the following skills,(you must be willing to learn any skills that you do not currently have): Cold Fusion, Java/J2ee, Perl, PHP, oracle, maven, .Net
Bachelor's degree required. Six years related experience required. Experience implementing and managing systems in a large heterogeneous environment; experience in health care industry or with the assigned applications as well as the platform on which they run. Expert understanding of structured programming, types of databases, file structures and programming tools. Able to act as a departmental analytical resource to help others to solve complex technical problems. Able to lead or coordinate work of a diversified staff in various environments, plans, schedules, assigning work, reviewing results, and written status and project plans. Able to perform a variety of highly complex tasks related to specialized inspection and testing of project output. Initiates corrective action for procedural, product or process deficiencies. Able to perform highly complex analysis, design, development, testing (unit, system, and integrated) and debugging of computer software in support of the assigned application and platform. Able to lead meetings with customers and develop technical solutions.
