Senior Project Analyst
Provides Finance Manager & Directors with change-based, project-oriented financial analyses to diagnose the reason for an unexpected trend or to evaluate the impact of a proposed alternative approach to Priority Partners business operations. Position plays a key role in developing and implementing the following departmental objectives and activities in support of decision-making process:
1) financial analysis for cost variances
2) business unit financial model and forecast development
3) program development analysis
4) pricing structure strategy and change assessment
5) financial reporting
6) provides guidance to Project Analyst as needed
Requirements:
A. Education: Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
B. Requires knowledge of financial and accounting concepts as well as an extensive knowledge of spreadsheet and database software
1. Strong computer skills with an ability to access and manipulate significant amounts of complex data and produce meaningful and useful reports for senior management by using various software applications and query tools such as MS Excel and MS Access.
2. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff including senior management.
3. Excellent analytical skill with demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems independently, gather and interpret data from different sources and to complete assigned tasks and projects within strict time frames.
4. Self-motivated and hardworking individual who strives to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience performing complex financial analysis. Experience using intermediate level functions in Excel and writing queries in Access or SQL is or experience leading a project team is preferred.
A. Budget Responsibility:
Develop program budgets and/or financial models for the approval of senior management.
B. Authority/Decision Making Level:
Prioritizes and organizes work to meet changing priorities. Works independently with limited supervisions. Develops and makes recommendation to Finance Manager or senior management regarding a variety of financial issues.
C. Supervisory Responsibility:
Provides guidance and project oversight to project team members as needed to ensure objectives and deadlines are met.
