The Sales Analyst provides critical support for the MD/DC/NVA geographic area sales force. The position requires a high degree of involvement in maintaining sales database client information, controlling data integrity, sales territory alignment and revenue opportunity both user and non-user related, generating reports and training the sales force on benefits of using the database application as a sales territory growth tool. Duties: Essential Responsibilities: * Ensure database integrity, security and system availability * Responsible for all data activities including data mining, data scrubbing, sales territory design and developing data sources * Manage process for cleaning data to ensure data accuracy, conduct analysis of sales territory data and work closely with VP's / Directors of Sales & Sales Managers to align and design sales territories to increase revenue * Assist sales management in developing a sales coverage model to distribute and focus sales resources on those accounts where the balance between sales effort and revenue is optimized * Optimize sales territories that are compact in size and aligned to each other without gaps and perform quarterly and annual checks * Ability to segment clients into groups, based upon revenue, product mix, industries served, or other criteria important to growing the business * Develop an understanding of our sales process for both commercial & major accounts * Respond to data requests and develop accurate and timely ad hoc reports for executive & management staff * Meet users' access requirements and resolve any problems * Perform database system management functions * Make requested changes, updates and modifications to database data and structure * Perform other related duties as assigned by Director of Sales Training & Development Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business experience * Strong SQL experience Required * Strong knowledge and use of Access * Must have drive and ability to excel in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment. * Strong relationship management skills with customers and personnel within the organization required. * Strong organizational skills. Ability to meet sales quotas and deadlines, and use good judgment in performing conflicting demands and managing priorities. * Strong initiative with ability to seek out relevant information prior to making timely decisions. * Computer literacy and familiarity with the internet required. * Ability to work evening and weekend hours during peak periods. * Must have strong ethics and work as an effective, collaborative team member. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: * Ability to work under stress/pressure to meet deadlines and financial objectives. * Ability to travel to customer sites, offsite meetings, company related functions, etc. with short notice. * Valid driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage required.
