Registrar - Outpatient Department: Patient Registration Schedule: Standby Shift: Monday - Friday occasional weekends Hours: varied Job Details: Completes duties related to the admission of inpatients and registration of outpatients. Verifies that all information regarding patient demographics and insurance is accurate and will result in a collectible account. Ensures patients are served appropriately and expeditiously. Ensures appropriate referral for service. May coordinate assignment of beds, may work accounts prior to h School graduate or equivalent required. Advanced courses in computer, office or public relations preferred. One to two years' business office experience. Computer experience. Experience in healthcare billing, collection, or registration preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Requires six months on-the-job training.
