RapydConnex Parts Controller and Inventory Specialist Job # 13137BR City Annapolis State/Province Maryland FT/PT Full Time Qty 1 Job Description ARINC in Annapolis, MD is looking for a Parts Controller and Inventory Specialist to support the Mobile Edge Solutions Senior Director in the Advanced Systems Engineering & Integration Division. The Parts Control Specialist is responsible for keeping RapydConnex parts in stock, well organized, and secure for effective and managed distribution to the RapydConnex engineering, equipment assembly, and support staff. Accountable for management and quality assurance, as well as traceability of parts acquisition and use.
The ideal candidate will maintain inventory data on the quantity, location, and condition of supplies and equipment due in, on hand, and due out, to determine quantities of material and equipment available or required for issue and to facilitate distribution and management of material.
Duties include:
. Help staff obtain the parts they actually need within the time needed. . Receiving, documenting, marking (part number and description), and organizing parts and assembled units in bins and on shelves. . Processing special orders for customers and finding alternate resources. . Pulling parts for orders. . Completing regular cycle counts of the inventory. . Keeping warehouse space and work areas clean, organized, and secure. . Placing orders with vendors to replenish inventory and to add new, management-approved inventory. . Maintaining log of parts and assembled units received and distributed in accordance with ARINC policies and procedures and any contract requirements. Qualifications Required Experience and Skills:
. Must have 5+ years of experience in parts control for manufacturing or assembly, with direct experience in parts ordering and inventory control. . Detail-oriented and organized. . Proven ability to keep the right parts in the warehouse and to be able to obtain parts that are not in the warehouse. . Able to know which parts go to which equipment, how to install parts, and parts that can be used in place of other parts. . Ability to perform simple arithmetic, read parts catalogs, effectively communicate with staff, move objects, and update computer records. . Ideal candidate will have military contract experience. . Team oriented with an ability to motivate and work well with diverse and cross-functional teams. . Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Education/Certification Requirements: High school degree, technical degree in appropriate discipline a bonus. Amount of Travel Required for Position 0%-25%
