Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of investment portfolio account records from various custodians for advisory clients. The Portfolio Accountant (PA) also works closely with the Partners, Portfolio Manager, and Client Service Administrators to insure the accuracy and timeliness of various reports being generated for client’s accounts. May also assist in the production and/or maintenance of Excel spreadsheets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day data management of the portfolio accounting system, including a variety of reconciliation functions (Portfolio Center)
Manual input of alternative investments into the portfolio accounting system
Assist with the quarterly report reconciliation and production process
Requirements:
Required Education and Skills:
Bachelor Degree in an accounting or finance related major desired
AA Degree with an accounting focus acceptable
Extensive bookkeeping or portfolio accounting experience without a college degree will also be considered
Other:
Must work well with others and able to thrive in a high pressure and deadline sensitive environment
Must be ambitious, have very good communication skills and be a team player
Must be highly accurate, numbers-oriented, and enjoy detail work
Permanent Part-Time position. Hours will vary depending on seasonal reporting requirements, but will range from 15-35 hours per week.
