It's the best of both worlds; why not join us? Berger has a current opening for a Patient Care Tech/Monitor Tech to join our Med/Surg team. As a PCT, theselected individual will have the opportunity to impact the patient's experience while providing direct patient care and documentation for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Individual will be cross trained to serve as a Monitor Tech for the unit as well. Monitor Techs are responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and documenting telemetry monitor activity and alerting nursing staff to changes. Performs clerical support for the patient care team and other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates must be high school graduates. Minimal requirements for Med/Surg positions are EMT, paramedic, MA, STNA or equivalent, or nursing duation from a PCT program is strongly tification in CPR is required within 3 months of puter literacy and knowledge of medical terminology is required. Previous experience reading telemetry monitors lity to work rotating shifts is required.
