Network Security Engineer
Job Description:
Provide network vulnerability identification, remediation, and mitigation/Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM). Prefered certifications for this position are CISSP/GIAC certs. (See Last
paragraph). Should have proven experience in the analysis of network software/hardware vulnerabilities and their
impact. Candidate will be expected to recommend improvements to support a philosophy of migrating toward
automated machine-to-machine data analysis to enable network speed operations.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related IT discipline with an acceptable substitute being 5 years experience. Candidate must have a
certification in one of the DoDD 8570-1M certs at Level III (CISSP, GSLC, CISM, GSE, SCNA, CISA and/or GSLC).
Proven experience in Vulnerbility assessment, mitigation, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), and
IAVM.

Customer preference is for CISSP and Global IA Certifications (GIAC) certifications. Experience in such areas as ** Risk Management, **Security Event & Incident Manager (SEIM), ** Network Monitoring, **Packet Capture
Analysis, **Forensic/Malware analysis, and **UNIX Command Line. Knowledge of IAVA, IAVM, Risk Management, Risk
Mitigation is a decidedly plus. A decidedly plus is/are certification/s in GIAC Network Auditor (GSNA), GIAC
Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), CCNA, Certified Penetration Tester (CPT) and/or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
are all positive certs. Past experience in Defense Industrial Base is also an important factor for acceptance.
