Medical Records Jobs -Health Information Management Job - Mgr. Coding Compliance / Training job in Maryland   - HC1616BS

• Health system in Maryland is seeking a Manager of Coding Compliance and Training for its Central Billing Office.
• Under limited supervision, the Manager will implement a compliance program consisting of a rolling schedule of prospective medical record audits to ensure services provided to patients are reported accurately and completely.
• Will also be responsible for the ongoing training of CBO staff, practice staff and providers.
• Will oversea and direct activities of Compliance Coders.
• Some specific responsibilities include:
• determining staffing requirements and supervising and mentoring the work of all direct reports to ensure effective and efficient department functions;
• create ongoing audit schedules for all providers to ensure compliant coding and appropriate charge capture;
• create an audit process to identify and ensure accuracy of medical records;
• provide guidance on coding for the CBO, managers and all client practices.
• Prior experience in Medical Records job, Medical Records Management, HIM jobs or other prior RHIT jobs a plus.

• Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or GED is required;
• Bachelors Degree in business, finance or healthcare related field is preferred;
• Certification as a CPC or CCS-P is required;
• 7 years medical coding experience including 5 years of auditing experience;
• experience to include 3 years in a supervisory/management capacity, in a compliance environment is required.
• Prior experience in Medical Records employment, Jobs in Medical Records, Medical Records Administrator or a Medical Records position is a plus.

• Salary is dependent on experience, with midpoint at $75K.
