Required:
High School diploma (or GED) and four years general machine shop experience.
Experience using various manual machinery (Mills, Lathes, Band Saws, Surface Grinders and punch press).
Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documents.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently, occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Desired:
Experience with CNC programming and set-up.
Work Description:
Set up and operate various types of machines such as vertical mills, horizontal mills, lathes, saws and surface grinders.
Perform necessary calculations to determine starting points or set up numerically controlled machines.
Perform tight tolerance work of small components.
Utilize precision measuring instruments.
Read and interpret drawing specifications and verify conformance of finished parts to specifications.
Design and build custom tooling or fixturing.
