LEAD MATERIALS COORDINATOR Requisition Number: 37982 Department: Medicine Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day Hours: 8:30-5:00 Work Location: Blalock 4 Job Details: - HS Diploma/GED - 3 years Under general supervision, but in an independent fashion, according to established policies and procedures, oversees receiving, maintenance, storing and issuing of materials, supplies and equipment. Maintains a computerized inventory system within their area items ordered, received, issued as well as generating reports concerning inventory control. Interacts with a wide range of Operating Room staff in critical situations to provide direct materials support. Covers for materials specialist by picking and delivering case carts to operating rooms using preference cards. Restocks ACCM exchange carts and drawers using established procedures. Responds to requisitions and stock needs inside the operating rooms. Provides direction for the materials coordinator to ensure all daily activities are complete under the direction of the Surgery/ACCM Supply Manager. Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent. AA degree preferred. Three or five years of experience in a related environment e.g. inventory or healthcare. Knowledge of computers to be able to learn software programs necessary to produce materials management reports from the inventory management and control system. Must be able to push/pull pallet jack and hand carts up to 40 lbs.
