Laboratory Medical Technologist Department: LABORATORY Schedule: Part Time Shift: Evening/Night Hours: 1630-0000 Job Details: * Bachelor's of Science * Performs a variety of chemical, microscopic and bacteriological tests and procedures and related duties, according to established standards and practices, to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Education: Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related science. Completion of Clinical Lab training from an accredited hospital based program. Successful completion of college level biology, chemistry, and anatomy and physiology courses required. Additional organic or laboratory science courses are strongly preferred. Experience: 0-2 years Certification: Certification is required as a Medical Technologists(ASCP) or Clinical Lab Scientist (NCA) or Clinical Lab Tech (HEW or HEHS) or Med Tech (AMT) or 10 years of MLT experience will allow for grandfather clause to be used. Computing Skills: Ability to read and interpret information from a data display terminal and manipulate a keyboard for data entry. Specific Requirements: Interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral required in order to effectively interact with hospital personnel and outside contacts.
