Overview:
This role will provide business management leadership, analysis, oversight and discipline across our customer fulfillment center at both the tactical and strategic level. Will direct all aspects of a multi-shift fulfillment operation and implement an integrated performance and quality improvement system that will improve effectiveness, enhance efficiency, increase cost effectiveness, and ensure high customer satisfaction. This will include leading the execution of flow of goods to Macy's .com customers. The incumbent will be responsible for mid and long-term capacity planning.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide leadership and support to executive team and ensure Direct-to-Consumer policies and procedures are communicated and executed consistently.
Responsibility for the financial, operational, safety and service performance of the fulfillment center.
Responsibilities include time and action calendar development, hiring strategy, budget development and overall project management.
Provide strategic leadership to develop, coach, and mentor direct reports toward individual growth and performance excellence.
Serve as the liaison with and Bloomingdales direct on building related issues.
Maintain customer service compliance standards. (FTC shipping requirements)
Maintain OSHA compliance and excellent safety processes.
Develop a recognition program that creates an employees 'count' mentality Manage staff planning and labor initiatives towards fully utilizing associates' capabilities, while maintaining fair and equitable employment practices. Support ongoing corporate programs and initiatives. (Six Sigma, Partners In Time, Succession Planning, etc.)
Skill Summary:
Bachelor's degree in Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
In depth knowledge of e-commerce and fulfillment operations, including; experience with high transaction operations and excellent skill in areas of supply chain logistics, and inventory management, with an emphasis on customer service.
Minimum one-year experience with Manhattan WM Systems.
Effective decision making ability in a fast paced environment.
Ability to stay ahead of the curve by finding new ways to satisfy customers.
High-level understanding of Six Sigma process improvement methodology.
Proven strategic leadership skills including leading a team with a clear vision and strategy, results-orientation, change catalyst, and developing people.
