The Sales Support Associate/Internal Wholesaler's primary function is to drive sales and build strong relationships with producers to generate revenue and meet sales quotas. The Internal Wholesaler proactively calls agents and recruits new agents to build a book of business. This position ensures constant communication with all members of the team as well as with the producers working to develop strong relationships and promoting agent recruiting and retention through sales ideas, marketing campaigns, illustrations and effective management and utilization of Crump resources.
Responsibilities . Successfully build relationships with key producers to discuss complex sales concepts, marketing campaigns, and product information. . Maintain and grow an individual sales revenue goal or enhanced team sales goal . Proactive calling to all assigned agents to build block of business . Develop new business by recruiting new agents and growing existing agent groups to maximize revenue potential . Partner with Sales Executives with all aspects of producer development and maintenance of business. . Be able to call on tier 2 & 3 agents in a sales capacity . Maintain a proactive and supportive relationship with the sales, operations teams, the assigned group of agents, and internal solution centers. . Work with the sales team to coordinate and execute local marketing efforts and communications as established by Senior Management. . Maintain a working knowledge of pending priority cases and be able to close those cases as necessary. Develop expert knowledge of products, carriers, and Crump resources. . Coordinate with sales team and producers to run LTCi illustrations and suggest and implement creative solutions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities . Effective interpersonal and written communication skills . Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers . Effective time management skills . Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously . Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment . Ability to work in a self-directed fashion . Experience with PC's in a Windows environment . Detail oriented, take-charge person with excellent relationship building skills and strong technical (computer) skills. .Four year college degree in business or equivalent education and relevant experience preferred . 2 - 5 years work experience in the life insurance industry with 1 years work experience in sales support preferable. . Well-developed life insurance and LTCi product knowledge. . Understanding of sales concepts, corresponding illustrations, and the underwriting process helpful. . Understanding of commissions and client service process. . Intermediate level skill in use of Microsoft Word and Excel applications and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint . Experience with database management. . Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities. . Strong negotiation skills with the ability to use advanced judgment in problem solving.
