HBS specializes in service of critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.
We are currently looking for an Install Tech Specialist to join the Honeywell team in Baltimore, MD. The main function of this position is to commission Honeywell control systems - HVAC, Fire & Security control systems. These control systems are engineered by Honeywell in-house engineers, installed by electrical sub contractors and then commissioned by Honeywell Field Techs in commercial buildings (office buildings, schools, universities, airports, hospitals, etc.).
The Install Technical Specialist will coach and mentor at least one Associate Install Technical Specialist each year on delivery process, commissioning techniques and coordination at site with contractors. As well as work towards continuous improvement of commissioning practices, specifically reducing commissioning hours per device and/or hours per system using HOS techniques. Basic Qualifications · High school diploma/GED · 3 years experience in the final commissioning of commercial HVAC automation systems · 1 year of MS Office software experience (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a business environment · 1 years experience with reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams in a business setting · Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications · Associates degree · 3 years experience in commercial HVAC installation · Knowledge of HVAC systems, Control systems, Mechanical system operation and building facilities · Honeywell installed systems product knowledge - Tridium, EBI, XL5000, CARE, ComfortPoint · Basic knowledge of computer networks, protocols and operating systems · Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills · Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and get things done · Communication skills sufficient to deal with co-workers, customers and contractors · Ability to work as a member of a team · Ability to work independently and accomplish all commissioning tasks · Coaching and mentoring skills to guide Associate Install Technical Specialists
