Experis Finanace is in search of senior investment pricing analyst with either direct (e.g. CFA) or indirect (e.g. consultant / auditor) pricing and valuation experience. Must have knowledge of or experience with Murex or Principia (or similar system). The successful candidate will assist our clients team in the valuation of a wide array of investment vehicles under the company management. This position will primarily focus on derivatives, but may assist in other asset classes.
Job Summary:
Drive the pricing process for assigned asset classes, including: understand complexities of deals to ensure accurate and timely valuations; propose valuation methods where appropriate; collaborate with front office and other stakeholders as new instruments are considered for trading; construct and maintain pricing configurations in systems; research, analyze and resolve price variances and issues; obtain market data and prices via automated feeds, brokers, models and other approved valuation sources and methods; and maintain the relationship with pricing vendors to ensure timely receipt of accurate prices. Assist in the development and implementation of, and ensure adherence to, valuation policies and appropriate pricing procedures Assist with the research, design, building and testing of valuation model output to determine reasonableness Apply advanced analytical and financial product knowledge and judgment to complex instruments and activities Provide project management support for large, complex projects - defining deliverables, setting schedules, and producing results with strong communication and negotiation skills. Enhance data quality processes, manage pricing challenges and research/resolve issues. Support compliance with internal risk policies and controls by identifying risks, implementing effective controls and maintaining evidence of controls in an effective manner Complete customer requests with excellent service levels Work effectively with other departments or divisions to ensure business issues are resolved for the success of the company Initiate and lead implementation of improvements to efficiency, accuracy, controls, and customer service levels in relation to assigned work, projects or other process enhancements
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, preferably in finance, business, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field Advanced degree and/or appropriate professional certifications are strongly preferred (e.g., CFA or candidate) Five years business experience, including at least three years of experience in the institutional securities industry (preferably within the functional areas of pricing, risk management, trading, or modeling of complex financial instruments) Thorough knowledge of financial products , investment processes, and databases/trading systems (derivatives experience strongly preferred) Highly developed analytical, problem recognition and resolution, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated, proactive, and works well under pressure Very strong customer service skills, with a focus on continuous improvement Ability to independently prioritize and work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of audiences including investment professionals and upper management Advanced skills in Excel Knowledge of or experience with Murex or Principia (or similar system) strongly preferred
