Job Description: An outstanding opportunity exists for a Fabrication Shop Project Manager to join a leading, well-established civil and industrial construction firm. Onlycandidates local to the MD, PA, DE, WV areawill be considered.
Essential duties and responsibilities: * Responsible for the administrative management of multiple projects to ensure they arefabricated and delivered on timeand on budget. * Participate in project turnover meetings with the sales and estimating dept. and budget set-up, * Prepare work packages and monitoring/tracking progress through to successful project close
MUSThave the following Qualifications: * DO NOT APPLYunless you have a minimum 5 years ofproject management/coordination experienceand 3 - 5 years ofstructural steel fabricationexperience * A bachelor's degree in Engineering(specifically Structural Engineering) is strongly preferred, however additional years of experience may be substituted * Must be project minded with an ability to anticipate production issues that would affect the big picture as well as detail oriented with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. * Fabrication estimating skills and knowledge ofsteel coatingsis a plus * Strong computer skills with a working knowledge ofFabtroland AutoCAD strongly preferred * The ideal candidate will have detailing experience
