Electronics Support Technician
Aerotek is currently working with our client in Hanover, MD who is seeking an experienced Technical Support Representative to join their team. Qualified candidates must have experience with troubleshooting both hardware and software and have a strong electronics background.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for responding to customer inquiries received via the technical support call center. -Serve as principal contact for fielding customer technical support questions. -Will assist customers regarding product features and/or functions by troubleshooting hardware and software issues over the phone. -Customer inquiries will range from basic set-up questions to in depth problems at the modular level. -Troubleshoot sometimes complex hardware and software issues including the configuration and installation of new equipment and problem resolution of existing equipment.
Requirements:
-Associates degree in electronics or equivalent certification in related field. -Must have a working knowledge of measurements for currents and voltages, Ohm's law, and proficiency in using voltage meters. -Three years experience in a Technical Support environment. -Should be experienced with troubleshooting and resolving problems regarding electronic components and software systems. -Exceptional communication and customer service skills. -Should be proficient in MS Office and experienced with LAN/WAN. -Some overtime and weekend work may periodically be required.
