Director PMO/Quality Assurance/Quality Control

The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction in the fulfillment of PMO/QA/QC Officeâ?Ts Charter in providing the processes, tools, training, and consulting expertise to help ACS improve its overall effectiveness of its large-scale systems enhancements, application maintenance and operations, general system maintenance and operations as well as technical and software updates as measured by schedule, cost and quality.

ï,§ Manages the operation of the organization's total quality management (TQM) program
ï,§ Oversees the development of systematic approaches for assuring high quality services that meet customer needs
ï,§ Coordinates program communications to employees
ï,§ Develops training and related reward systems
ï,§ Develops, implements, and leads key process improvement efforts and influences cross-functional efforts
ï,§ Develops systematic approaches for assuring high quality services
ï,§ Identifies the interface of key activities within and between the functions of the organization
ï,§ Manages the CMMI process improvement efforts

Other duties as assigned:

Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to individual contributors or subordinate managers. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation.

Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Establishes and assures adherence to budget, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements

Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

Education and Experience

â?¢ Minimum of 10 years project management experience on a large systems integration effort, multiple portfolio environment, or complex systems development environment preferably in state or federal government
â?¢ Experience with mainframe, client server, and/or web development project management
â?¢ Ability to successfully monitor and evaluate large scale implementation projects.
â?¢ Background and ability to lead and conduct project reviews, special studies and audits.
â?¢ Strong business analytics and financial acumen.
â?¢ Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
â?¢ A Bachelorâ?Ts degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business administration or information systems or related experience

â?¢ Strong time management, priority allocation and task management skills
â?¢ Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
â?¢ Advanced written and verbal communication skills
â?¢ Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects concurrently. Proven Project Management skills
â?¢ Active in pursuing on-going learning opportunities
â?¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
â?¢ Possess drive to work through issues, seek team support and escalate issues as appropriate
â?¢ Ability to work both independently and within a team environment to meet project needs
