Cyber Operations Engineer – Sr. Tester

Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Information Security Engineer to provide senior-level system analysis and testing, as well as consulting support, to our government clients on cyber operations programs based in Linthicum, MD.

Additional tasks include:

• Providing leadership to other cyber operations testers on several different projects
  
• Utilizing your firm understanding of information assurance technologies within specialized technology areas to create solutions for our clients
  
• Devising tests that illuminate possible system vulnerabilities and weaknesses

Job Responsibilities

As a Cyber Operations Engineer with Tresys, you will apply your skill in IP networks, network topology, communication protocols and infrastructure components such as routers and servers to set up and calibrate test environments.

Additional responsibilities of the Cyber Operations Engineer include:

• Devising tests that identify risks and alternatives regarding intended operational environments and component usages
  
• Performing vulnerability and forensic analyses
  
• Conducting penetration testing on client systems

Job Requirements

As a Cyber Operations Engineer with Tresys, you must be versed in at least two of the operating systems among Windows, Solaris and Unix. Our ideal Cyber Operations Engineer has expertise in one of more of the following specialized technology areas: web/ISP, telephony, wireless and SCADA/control systems. You must also have experience with evaluation standards and policy and access control technologies.





Additional requirements for the Cyber Operations Engineer include:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  
• OR 8 years strong related work experience
  
• Minimum 6 years experience in information assurance, security vulnerability and penetration testing, as well as formal test and evaluation processes and practices
  
• Experience with SA root kits and analysis tools, requirements analysis and writing, testing strategy development, secure network protocols and authentication technologies and intrusion detection systems
  
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  
• TS/SCI with CI or Lifestyle Polygraph required
  
• US citizenship required
