The Cyber Services Operating Unit delivers comprehensive systems, solutions, and technical services to the intelligence community, and other industries that depend on protecting privacy, and keeping data secure. The unit delivers value and innovation through expert systems engineering and integration, software development, enterprise architecture and design, intelligence operations and analysis support, information operations support, and systems development and communications integration. A candidate seeking this position can expect to support cutting edge projects including cloud deployment and integration, computer network defense, and large scale image processing. Roles and Responsibilities: Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. * Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. * Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. * Determine computer user needs. * Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming techniques and controls. * Prepares operating instructions and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. * Ensures software standards are uired Skills Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer (or equivalent 9 years of experience). * Position requires a current TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance. * Complete understanding and wide application of technical principal, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Independently determine and develop solutions to difficult problems. * Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complete difficult problems. * Can independently determine and develop approach to solutions. * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of customers. * Must be willing to learn new technologies and maintain technical currency and uired Experience * A minimum of five (5) years experience developing software/systems using Java. * A minimum of one (1) year experience designing and developing applications for execution in a distributed computing environment. * A minimum of one (1) year experience with Apache Hadoop framework and MapReduce. * Demonstrated experience and familiarity with conducting Cloudbase hands-on training courses and experience with setting up Virtual machine environment use for Cloudbase training exercises are LocationAnnapolis Junction, MD USPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular
