Boiler Engineer
Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data. Monitors the Center's boilers, hot water and steam systems throughout the assigned shift. Conducts various tests in accordance with the recommendations of the manufacturer to ensure that the Center's boiler operates problem-free and at maximum efficiency. Makes adjustments to the boiler system to ensure its continued operation. Coordinate annual inspection. Maintains necessary logs of all shift activity, monitoring, etc. Troubleshoots problems as they occur, following procedures prescribed by the manufacturer. Follows prescribed emergency procedures in the event of problems. May perform other maintenance responsibilities in the boiler/water treatment areas as assigned by the Manager Operates the Center's Water Treatment Plant. Conducts periodic random tests of the Center water supply to ensure pot ability. Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH. (Workplace Relationships and Ethics; Communications; Personal Growth and Development; Interpersonal Skills; Information Management; Multicultural Awareness; Career and Personal Planning; Independent Living) Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Must have successfully completed a certified course of instruction in boiler and /or pressure vessel monitoring and operation. Must have basic mechanical skills and understand the principles of pressure, volume and temperature. Must be certified in the operation of the Center's Water Treatment Plant.
