Asset Manager - Equipment Finance & Leasing
Title: Asset Manager - Equipment Finance & Leasing Location: Maryland-MD-Towson-MD-Towson-Hampton Plaza This position exists to provide general asset management expertise and specifically manages a portfolio of technology and medical assets. It requires a specialized knowledge and experience of accepted leasing asset management activities. Activities will include residual value projections, mid-term strategies and sales/disposal of off lease assets. The position is responsible for the overall quality of the assets and the residual risk position in the technology and medical portfolio as it pertains to the EMG Policy Manual. Has secondary responsibility managing all other asset categories in the SunTrust Equipment Finance & Leasing portfolio.
Additionally, this position will serve an active role in new business development by influencing and directing sales staff to profitable technology and medical assets as well as implementing proven strategies to manage those assets once they have been placed in service. This person will have the opportunity to work with the sales staff in pricing and structuring transactions to ensure profitability of the STEFL portfolio. Minimum requirements: 8 years in specialized financial services operations, 2 year of Supervisor experience, Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred requirements: 8 years Asset management ; experience in technology and medical; experience creating and executing asset management strategy in varied go-to-market models (i.e. bank, direct, vendor, etc.); Strong verbal and written communications skills; Strong asset knowledge and equipment finance product knowledge; Strong relationship-building, collaborating, and networking skills. Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Understanding of lease pricing and financial modeling. Undergraduate degree. Certified ASA Appraiser.
