Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

**Work involves frequent travel (more than 50% of time), varied hours and meeting tight deadlines on a regular basis.

**The Area Sales Trainer/Manager for the Mid Atlantic will reside in Baltimore, Maryland. It will also support the areas of Philadelphia, Richmond, Norfolk, and the Washington D.C. area.

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing sales training and coaching to sales personnel, preparing revenue reports, posting individual sales performance, implementing sales incentive programs and assisting in business plan development activities.

1. Provide individual training and coaching to sales personnel and Station Managers on sales techniques and handling customer service issues.

2. Prepare and analyze various revenue, exception and security reports; monitor sales performance and identify and focus sales training to achieve growth targets.

3. Conduct sales training classes and meetings to increase product knowledge and sales skills among sales personnel.

4. Monitor incentive payments and counter activities, identify potential fraud and systems threats, and recommend actions.

5. Work with General Manager and Human Resources in the development and implementation of incentive programs designed to motivate and energize sales force.

6. Participate in business plan development and incremental revenue forecasts; coordinate corresponding sales efforts with General Manager.

7. Recommend necessary personnel actions to General Manager regarding location personnel; may assist management with selection and evaluation of rental sales personnel.

8. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned
Qualifications
Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong sales orientation with the ability to motivate others.
Excellent oral and written communication and public speaking skills.
Knowledge of motivational sales techniques.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
Proficiency in the use of personal computer programs including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge and skill in the operation of the car reservation computer software.
Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures with the ability to establish monthly forecasts/projections and yearly budgets.
Ability to present a professional and enthusiastic attitude through effective communication skills to promote a positive impression of dollar to customers and employees.


Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related descipline.
At least 2 to 3 years related experience in sales and car rental operations management.
Valid Driver's License as required by state
