The major duties and responsibilities of the Applications Engineer-Inside Sales & Technical Support Consultant include:
Assisting customers with applications engineering by understanding and interpreting technical requirements
Acting as a consultant to customers by providing technical information
Developing and educating new accounts
Entering data accurately
Reading mechanical drawings, CAD files and electrical specifications
All other duties as required
Requirements:
Associates Degree in a technical discipline
3+ years experience - preferably sales of engineered or technical products
Electrical industry experience a plus
Ability to read mechanical drawings, CAD files and electrical specifications
Strong computer, data entry and math skills required
A team player who is flexible to assist wherever needed
Willingness to keep update on industry knowledge by studying new product descriptions, competitors offerings and participating in educational offerings and tradeshows
