Admissions Registrar Salary Range: DOE Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Benefits: Medical/Dental/Retirement/Vacation Employment Type: Full Time Department: Admissions Description: The Registrar is responsible for the accurate registration of patients for inpatient and outpatient visits. Assists off-campus sites with regisrartins and provides relief for the PBX and cashier departemnts. Will be cross-trained to work in all areas of registration and be able to work weekends and holidays: must be able to deal with emergency room situations and have the physical ability to push patients in wheelchairs. Duties: accurately register the patient to provide a computer generated accunt for depatments use, to identify the patient, place orders and post charges. the Registrar is the liaison betwwen the financial departments and the clinical departments. The registrar reports to the Admissions Manager. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Previous registration experience/ Medical Terminology/customer service background/ multi-task background. Typing-Keyboarding skills required/ computer literate/ good communication skills/ works well with public/ interpersonal skills/ Problem solving/ prioritizing skills.
