POSITION OVERVIEW: BNA, an independent publisher of legal, regulatory, and business information, seeks an Account Executive for the Corporate, Legal, & Tax Division to sell BNA's news services products to new and existing BNA customers in the assigned district. The Account Executive will also develop prospecting strategies to gain and grow new business in the designated territory with the goal to meet or exceed sales quota.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing and conducting a solution-based sales presentation to prospective and existing BNA customers to sell the BNA product line; prospecting for new clients and new referral sources utilizing online resources, referrals, or other local marketing programs; meeting or exceeding monthly sales objectives; contacting prospective and existing customers by phone and/or in person to obtain appointments for sales meetings; perform post-sales calls to ensure customer awareness, satisfaction, and the proper use of BNA products and services; and closing sales, gathering detailed information, and developing a sales plan for the territory.
REQUIREMENTS: 4+ years' experience in consultative, solution-based sales; demonstrated history of successful B2B sales with documentation supporting results; strong prospecting skills and the ability to develop new business with large accounts; excellent organizational skills and the ability manage a sales district over time; strong presentation skills; excellent written communications skills; strong analytical and math skills; top-notch customer relations skills; ability to grasp technical competencies and thorough understanding of electronic research; and flexibility for overnight travel, travel to BNA meetings, and to customer locations. Bachelor's in business, marketing or sales experience equivalent. Home office adequate for handling administrative-related job functions. This position requires availability during core business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Base salary, plus commission and performance-based bonus.
